Journal # 15: Bush policy Turns Mesa Airport into deportation hub
Mesa Airport, a non-Mexicans deportation hub, had fight thousands of undocumented immigrants home or to the border. This process had cost more than $ 70 million dollars in the fiscal year of 2006. Because of the greater enforcement of immigration laws by the Bush administration and the expedited removals of illegal immigrants within sixteen days, the percentage of undocumented immigrations have decreased to fifteen percentages compared to all of the previous years. President Bush has also vowed to end “catch-and-release”. As “catch-and-release” process ends and with the helps from the Mesa Airport fighting twice daily, I believe that this country will soon be free from illegal immigrants; this might be a positive factor.
